Simon was gifted to Vax Vessar by his twin sister Vex’ahlia Vessar for their sixteenth birthday. He is an enchanted belt that can turn into a snake at Vax's command.
However, even though Simon is often an inanimate object, he retains a personality and memories of his own, and very decidedly does not like Loki Odinson, due to the fact that he's the only witness to Loki messing with Vax's memories.
